Furthermore, nitrogen cryogen plants have a 40% greater operating cost than PSA plants. Liquid nitrogen is essential for the fertiliser and agricultural industries. Liquified industrial gases are expensive to store and transport under these conditions. As a result, the development of the cryogenic equipment market is hindered by the high CAPEX and OPEX of cryogenic plants.
